This California classic was first introduced in 2003 by a man named Ken Estes. The genetics are Purple Urkle crossed with Big Bud, and both lineages are well represented in this crop. Big Bud passed on its (you guessed it) big, dense bud structure. Purple Urkle is responsible for the deep purple hues, forest green and rusty orange colours on the flowers. GrandDaddy hits home on both the body and mind. Although it is certainly an indica strain, it’s initial, long-lasting euphoric buzz separates it from other indica strains that send you straight into a sedative state. However, we all know GrandDaddy goes to bed early, and has an afternoon nap every day. When you toke that GDP the lure of the pillows becomes strong.
